I’m sorry I’m not having Why Not Organize Something Wednesday today. I’m to focused on Christmas right now and getting last minute things done. I’ll be back with it next Wednesday and you can still do something to get organized today even if it’s just to clean out your bag or purse and find all those Christmas receipts you need to save for a few more days. Now for the kids tree:
We have a tree the kids decorate every year with ornaments they’ve made. We put it upstairs in the loft area because it’s by their bedrooms and it’s their little family room area. We haven’t made any new ones this year at home, but they did make some at school. Wow, I need to paint and glitter that topper.
Here’s some of the ornaments on the tree.
Zachary made this one a few years ago:
We made a lot of these cinnamon stick reindeer:
I love these pom pom candy canes. We have a lot of these:
But we have even more of these beaded ones. Ammon made this one:
We only have 3 of these soldiers. They were hard to make and took a lot of time:
Emilee made this abstract Christmas tree a few years ago at school:
Adam liked making these so much I think he made about 12 at school one year:
Amanda made these in elementary school with a class buddy:
The Grinch also lives in the loft. He talks and when Ammon was a baby we would have to hide him. Ammon would cry every time he saw him. He plays with him all the time now and likes to make him talk.
The skiing Santa is on top of the hutch in the loft. I need to find a snowboarding one now, since the kids all snowboard.
That’s pretty much the decorations in the kids area. They all have a small table top tree and a nativity in their bedrooms also. Amanda just told me yesterday that she loves the upstairs to be decorated for Christmas. I didn’t do as much this year and now I feel guilty. I guess I’ll start on the upstairs first next year.
