Do you decorate for Winter or do you just go from Christmas to Valentine’s Day?
I love decorating my mantel too much to skip Winter decor.
The focus of my Winter mantel is this Salt Lake Temple picture.
Even though it’s not a Winter scene, the colors remind me of Winter.
And it works well with the candlesticks and sparkly snowflakes.
I love these candlesticks and they can be used for every season.
The blue balls are just large ornaments.
I added a glittery snowflake to the front of the candle.
On the other side of the mantel is my glittery bird.
Hubby says it looks frozen. I guess that’s okay since it’s Winter.
I glittered clothespins and snowflakes.
Then hung them from blue bakers twine to make the simple banner.
I keep the Winter mantel simple since it’s after Christmas and it was pretty busy then.
Oh, and the best part, I already had everything.
So do you decorate for Winter?
I love the added accent of the glitter snowflakes!! I wish I had a mantel!!!!!!!!!
Leanne, thank you for your kind words on my post last week! You’re a friend and a treasure. <3
I always enjoy seeing your seasonal decor! This snowflake garland is so fun and pretty. It's my favorite part. 🙂
I never know what to do for a winter mantle. I’m usually tired of snow and go into a spring look but a subdued spring look. My mantle is up on my blog right now. I have dried hydrangeas and usually use those at this time of year as I like to use the purples and blues.
I enjoyed your blog so much ! Since I’m Mormon too I really appreciated the picture of the Temple.
Feel free to read my blog anytime. I like to stress over things but in the end that’s how I seem to work them out the best. 🙂 Take care and I’m looking forward to reading more of your articles on decor.
I love the icyness of the blue balls…just a nice pop of color
I LOVE the blue balls- they pop so beautifully against the silver!
I’m hosting a Winter Wonderland link party on Monday and would love it if you linked this up!

Love the mix of blue and silver… Perfect for winter!
My current favorite Wintry colors. I love using and seeing combos of white, silver and icy blues. Very nice.
Your mantel looks great! I adore the shutters above. They give the fireplace real presence. Add a wreath way up at the top and it would be so fabulous.
I just go right to Valentine’s Day because it’s one of my favorite holidays to decorate for — love the pop of color in the midst of the dreary winter! Your mantle though is lovely — turquoise and silver are two of my favorite colors and you’ve done a great job combining them for this look.
How beautiful! I love these colors!
Ooooo this is so pretty! The SLC temple is perfect as a centerpiece, and the turquoise/silver is a gorgeous color combo! Thanks for sharing at oopsey daisy! XO
