Our December Bedtime Tradition

I promised you yesterday I would share our bedtime December tradition. We have a basket of Children Christmas books we’ve collected over the years. We read one each night in the month of December leading up to Christmas. Some of the books have several stories in them so we pick just one to read that evening. I’ve heard some of you have this same tradition and even wrap the books. If you wrap your books, you’re a saint. I don’t want to wrap anymore than I have too. Santa doesn’t even wrap gifts at our house.

This is our new book for this year, recommended by a neighbor.

This is my favorite childrens book we have. My kids like me to read the story every night. I think they take bets on how far I can get into the book without getting teary.

Ammon chose this book to read last night. It’s a cute book. Did you know Santa started out riding in a snowblower pulled by penguins and then moved onto a sleigh pulled by reindeer?
