Porch Soiree – Party Contributor

It’s Thursday again which means it’s time for one of my awesome contributors to share her amazing talent with you. Anne is here today sharing another one of her awesome party ideas.

Hey everyone, it’s Anne from Circus Berry, here to share some seasonal party inspiration with you. The days are getting longer, the days getting warmer, and that summer feeling is creeping up. There is something really wonderful about spending the late spring and summer nights out on the porch, patio, or deck with some good friends…until the wee hours.

Not much is needed for an impromptu and fabulous soiree out on the porch, and with some key items and basic ideas in your repertoire, you can get friends together several times throughout the warmer months. Check out some of these ideas to be the belle of the block. Then when the kids have gone to bed, text, call, smoke signal, or holler across the yards to your friends and neighbors make the most of the warmer nights while they are here!

Every great gathering needs a great drink.

Take a peek at some of the Iced Tea Recipes gathered by Kimberly at A Night Owl.

If you are looking on the feisty, pitcher-drink side, check out my roundup of Summer Pitcher Drinks on Circus Berry.

While we are on the topic of drinks–get festive with your drink ware, but keep it porch friendly.

Summertime makes me think of bright and bold colors, so naturally I am a fan of mixing it up.

If you want to give your gathering the real-party-feel, you can download these free Summer Straw Flag Printables on Circus Berry.

Don’t forget to include a snack for your get together. It could be a bag of chips and salsa, a big bowl of pretzels and a zesty dip, or maybe even a batch of something sweet. Here are some ideas for something homemade to show off your skills.

Last but not least, break out all of those leftover, mis-matched paper products, citronella candles, the the extra lawn chairs. Put on some summery music. Laugh the night away. Just don’t wake the kids!

Enjoy and see you next month!

I’m so ready to invite a few friends over for a relaxed evening now. What about you?
