Blickenstaff’s at The Shops at Riverwoods

Have you ever walked into a store and been instantly transformed back to your childhood? That’s how I felt the first time I walked into Blickenstaff’s. I had an opportunity to visit some amazing locations at The Shops at Riverwoods (in Provo, Utah) with some awesome bloggers last weekend. Blickenstaff’s was our meeting place and our first location to explore and sample, and of course, I couldn’t help purchasing a few fun items.

I was drawn to the tree in the center of the shop. The decor in the store is stunning. Under the tree is a display of Blickenstaff’s favorite toy picks. I couldn’t help but pick them up and do a little toy testing for myself. A few of them got purchased for some of my favorite little people in my life.

If you’re looking for stocking stuffers, this is the place. There’s little bins full of little toys. You might remember a lot of them from your own childhood.

I don’t know about your family, but we love playing games. Blickenstaff’s has a huge selection of awesome hard-to-find games. I might have picked up a few of those too.

Kids are encouraged to ask questions, play games, try out the toys and even take a little ride around the store. How cool is that?

I’m pretty sure us bloggers were most interested in their delicious candy selection. They offer such a huge selection of vintage and currant candy.

You just have to visit Blick’s Blog for their 12 Days of Christmas giveaways. There will be a new video and a new giveaway everyday during the 12 Days of Christmas. I wish I lived closer so I could stop by everyday.

Like Blickenstaff’s on Facebook and follow them on Twitter for updates and giveaway information. If you don’t live near Blickenstaff’s they can also ship the toys and goodies out to you.

Thank you to Bryce Olsen for taking such fantastic pictures of our day. And thank you to Elisa, Veronica and Kyle for making it so fun and memorable.

The Shops at Riverwoods is kicking off the holiday season tonight with their lighting ceremony. There will also be Santa Claus, Entertainment, Carriage Rides and Free Gift Wrapping.  The gingerbread house competition starts today also.

Take a visit to this magical place. It will instantly get you in the Christmas spirit.

My oldest goes to the Charter School right by the shops and I took my youngest here once while we were waiting for her sister to get out of school and she lOVED this place! It was her kind of heaven. Let’s just say I paid for a few pieces of candy and a silly hat I hadn’t planned on buying 🙂
