Truffula Tree Cupcakes 2.1

It’s been a busy few weeks, but I wanted to share with you some simple Dr. Seuss Truffula Tree cupcakes I made for Emilee’s dress rehearsal for Seussical the Musical. We made 5 dozen cupcakes then had fun decorating them. We used food coloring to make the frosting neon green for the grass. Then we cut some stripey straws in half for the tree trunks and made the tree tops from cotton candy. Luckily hubby was home to be able to run around hunting for cotton candy. Where did he find it? 7 Eleven! Of course we had to use some fun polka dot cupcake liners to pull it all together.

I think they turned out adorable and they were a huge hit! I love anything Seuss-ish looking! How about you?

These are so adorable! I love how the cotton candy looks exactly like the tree tops from the Lorax. I bet they were delicious too.

It was so awesome meeting you this past week! I love putting a face to a blog that I read almost everyday!

Oh my gosh, I love these! We read The Lorax, just yesterday, in kindergarten. I may have to pass this along to my kindergarten families!

These are so cute! I had a Dr. Seuss party for my daughter last year and would have loved to have included these. I may have to update the blog post I did on her party to include these. So simple, but so adorable! Love them.
