This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of QuadraFire for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of QuadraFire Pellet Stoves? My husband had heard of the stoves and was already considering getting one to heat the basement we’re working on. I didn’t know much about them so I started doing some research. Since we’re going to have a family room, bathroom, guest room, and craft room in the basement we need to make sure it’s going to be comfortable while we’re down there.  I watched the video on QuadraFire Pellet Stoves and found out that it was more than capable of heating  my basement and that it would comfortably heat up to 2500 square feet. It’s also the quietest  and easiest stove to operate on the market which is important when considering a purchase.

Quadra-Fire pellet stoves are a popular heating alternative to traditional stoves and fireplaces. Did you know that using a pellet stove to heat your home costs 44% less than oil, 47% less than electric, and 53% less than propane heat? Because biomass fuels are composed of renewable, carbon-neutral products, they are also an extremely eco-friendly option. Living where I live that’s important to help cut down on the air pollution we endure during the cold months.

Pellet Stoves are Awesome

There’s additional great news! The federal tax credit on 75% efficient biomass heating appliances was reinstated on January 2, 2013. The bill includes a tax credit for, among many other things, qualifying biomass  heating appliances purchased between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013. That’s great news for anyone considering a purchase this year.

Would you like a chance to win a Quadra-Fire t-shirt and journal sized notebook made from recycled materials? All you need to do is leave a comment letting me know why you like Quadra-Fire. A winner will be randomly drawn on February 23rd.

I don’t know much about having to heat things since we’re in So Cal but I’m sure that it would be nice to have this if we were in a super cold climate!

Ok, I love this! You know how much I love to save money. And I have been FREEZING this winter. My office is in the basement and I have to keep turning up our heaters just to stay warm. Ugh! I would love something like this. Thanks for sharing!

I love pellet stoves. We live in SoCal, so there isn’t really a need for them, but I have been in mountain cabins that had them. Love that they’re eco-friendly too.

We’re not planning a remodel anytime soon, but I dream of having a stove like this. Our lowest floor and our highest floor get so, so chilly in the winter.

My mom had a wood burning stove in the house we grew up in. This seems to be an upgraded version. Those things are awesome.

When we lived in Seattle we had a pellet stove. They are wonderful, economical and help you feel warm in wet climates. If you are thinking of getting one please note that there is a HUGE difference in quality of pellets. Some burn way to fast and can muck up your stove…not fun.

We don’t have many cold days here, however it would be nice to have a pellet stove when we do. It great that it is so eco friendly too!

I saw one of these for the first time in a small yarn store in upstate NY. It was in January and the store was in a barn because they actually raised sheep and spun their own yarn. There was a couple feet of snow on the ground and it was freezing, but we couldn’t believe how this little pellet stove kept the whole place warm. While I was busy looking at the yarn, my husband was talking to the owner about this stove because he was so impressed.
