Peek Through Last Week (March 28-April 3)

This week it’s all about Ammon!

Sunday- Ammon lives to play with Lego’s. They consume his days. After Church he usually eats a quick lunch then heads for his Lego’s. He’s not suppose to have them in the living room because they get caught in the carpet and get stepped on, but they usually end up in there anyway. He’s says he’s going to be an architect when he grows up “because he likes to build all the time”. He also wants to be a Spy!

Monday- Ammon goes to morning Kindergarten so he gets home before the other kids. The first thing he does when he walks in the door is to dump his papers all over the floor so I can see what he worked on at school that day. He explains to me what he had to do on each one of them and whether he finished first or another place in the class. Then he’s ready for his snack.

Tuesday- On Tuesday mornings I go with the kids to school and work in Ammon’sclass for about an hour. I fill the Tuesday folders for his teacher’s morning and afternoon Kindergarten class. I enjoy going in at least once a week to see what artwork they’ve worked on and have hung in the hall. This is Ammon’s kite. I love the sun and the flower.

Wednesday- Today was Parent-Teacher Conferences. Ammon’s went very well. He’s doing equally well in English and Chinese. He’s catching on to the Chinese language and reading well in English. He has one little problem though, he’s a little to social. We’re working on saving that for the playground. Here he is with Ms. Morton and Mr. Lan.

Thursday- Ammon got a certificate for a free Frosty at Wendy’s for meeting his reading goal. The other kids weren’t out of school yet, so we made a special trip to Wendy’s for his free Frosty. He thought it was pretty cool to have that as his after school snack. Of course he told the other kids when they got home.

Friday- Ammon usually eats lunch at school since he goes a 3/4 day. Since they are having Parent-Teacher Conferences this week he gets to eat lunch at home. It’s been nice to be able to eat lunch with him again. This is his typical lunch: turkey and cheese sandwich (no top crust), chewy bar, banana or orange and Capri-Sun.

Saturday- Ammon had a great time at the Easter Egg Hunt in Cedar City even though there was snow on the ground. He slipped at the beginning but still ended up with plenty of eggs. Check out the post on April 3rd to find out more. He’s looking pretty happy!

Easter Weekend 2010 Cedar City-St. George 008

Oh, and we just drove back from Cedar City tonight. This is what we came home too. What the heck! And it’s suppose to continue snowing through the night. Don’t you wish you lived in Utah? NOT!

What a precious young man! We’ve never had snow here in Oklahoma for an Easter hunt, I’ll bet that’s pretty with all those colored eggs! 😉 Your snow is bringing us rain with a chance of storms and a slight risk of tornadoes. Oh well, no biggie, just spring in Oklahoma. LOL
