PERK Up Your Car

I have some days my car doesn’t smell as good as I want it too. Between picking up the kids after sports and sometimes having food in the car it can just plain stink. I have been using PERK fragrances for over a year but now there’s the new PERK Visor Wrap so I wanted to give it a try. You should give it a chance to Perk Up Your Car too.

Who doesn’t love a trip? Especially one that is completely paid for and you can bring 3 of your favorite people along. My husband and I have always enjoyed traveling. We decided many years ago that we would rather create memories than buy a lot of things. Sometimes it’s been harder than others to have the time or money it takes to travel so we have even taken little weekend trips to explore and create family memories. Atlantic Luggage is giving a lucky family of four a trip to Orlando. It’s so easy to enter and it took me under 15 seconds to fill out the form.

Personalized Vinyl T-Shirts

in Crafts, Fashion

The school year is coming to an end and my son and his friends came up with an idea of what to wear the last day of school. They wanted to wear matching shirts they had found on line, but the shirts were a little to pricey and there was a chance they wouldn’t make it here on time, so we came up with another plan. We decided to make Personalized Vinyl T-Shirts that we could customize ourselves.

June Seaside Mantel

Who decorates their mantel every month? I do! I love changing things up to represent a season or holiday. I wasn’t ready for red, white, and blue yet so I decided to decorate using a Seaside Mantel theme. I don’t live by the sea, I live in the desert but I could totally live on the coast. It’s my happy place. This mantel reminds me of the sea without being too obvious.

My teen daughter went from a large closet to an average size closet with our last move. Oh, the joys of moving to a smaller home. I’ve talked about portable storage solutions in the past and that is the key to this Organized Teen Closet. The first step was to get rid of the excess, or what we usually call clutter.

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Brita, but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #BritaOnTheGo http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

We’re always being told we need to drink more water. I’m always asking my kids if they had enough water during the school day and at their other activities. It seems like I’m always encouraging them to drink more and trying to remind myself that I need to drink more also. It’s not always easy drinking the recommended amount of water especially if you don’t particularly love how it tastes. Brita Water Bottles are helping my family stay hydrated and enjoy drinking more water.

I shared this post at Organizing Made Fun a few weeks ago but for those of you who didn’t see it I thought I would share it here. Let’s talk about Beauty Products Storage and Expiration Dates. When was the last time you cleaned out your expired or never used make-up? Do you keep buying more and more products, adding them to your ever growing stash? A few years ago I had way too many beauty products, some I had never used and some that had been expired for years. Once I cleaned out my stash I vowed to keep it that way. I have a few things I do to keep my beauty products in check so I’m not wasting money and space.

Updated Family Letter Wall

by leanneja on May 22, 2015 · 2 comments

in Decorating, DIY, Family, Paint

A couple years ago we were living in our forever house (or so I thought). I decided I wanted something special going up our stairs to represent out family so I started gathering finished and unfinished letters in different fonts, sizes, colors, and styles. The stairs were at the front of the house so they made quite a statement as you walked in the house. I loved seeing our Family Letter Wall all throughout the day. It was the hardest thing I had to take down when we moved.

Wood Shim Sunburst Mirror

by leanneja on May 20, 2015 · 0 comments

in Crafts, Decorating, DIY, Living Room

I made some sunburst mirrors a few years ago, but didn’t think they would travel well to another state so I sold them before we moved. I was happy to have them being enjoyed in someone else’s home but I have really missed them in my own. A few days ago I was going through a box in the garage and found a whole package of shims, so the thought of a Wood Shim Sunburst Mirror came to mind again. I still had a large mirror in my craft stash so I didn’t even have to run to the store for supplies. Why didn’t I make this sooner?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sterling for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love researching and finding new products to make my home pretty and functional. I never thought I wanted a shower door but after renting a house with them in 2 of the bathrooms I can see the benefit in shower doors, especially when it comes to keeping water where it belongs. My kids have been notorious for having the shower curtain on the outside of the tub which also means the water ends up there too. It’s always fun cleaning up after bath time, right?
