Kitchen Cup Organizer

Most of my organizing ideas come out of necessity and many times frustration. I made this Kitchen Cup Organizer a few years ago and we still use it everyday. It has been a lifesaver from having a sink full of cups, especially in the Summer. It doesn’t matter how many kids you have, it seems like each kid goes through at least 4 cups in one day.

Pencil and Cork Wreath

by leanneja on August 1, 2016 · 6 comments

in Crafts, Decorating

I like changing my front door with the seasons or holidays but it’s always been a little difficult for me to think of fun ways to decorate for Back to School. I made this Pencil and Cork Wreath a few years ago and love pulling it out every year. Nothing says back to school like a bunch of pencils, right?

3 Ingredient No Churn Ice Cream

by leanneja on July 27, 2016

in Children, Recipes

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes. The opinions and texts are all mine.

At the beginning of every Summer we make a Summer Fun List so we don’t forget anything new we want to try or any new adventures we want to go on. One of the things on our list this Summer was to make homemade ice cream. We don’t have an ice cream maker so we decided to try our hand at making no churn ice cream. This 3 Ingredient No Churn Ice Cream is so easy to make. The hardest part is waiting the 6 hours until it freezes.

DIY Wood Photo Holder

in Crafts, Decorating, DIY

When I make or purchase something I like to make sure it can fit in at least 3 different areas of my home. There are a few reasons for that: I don’t buy as much stuff if it doesn’t fit my criteria, I like to move things around, I like things with dual purposes. Today I’m sharing how to make this DIY Wood Photo Holder. It can hold photos, cards, recipes, quotes, or memos in any room you like.

Rock Photo Holders

Creating, documenting, and displaying memories are some of our favorite thing to do. We enjoy spending time together as a family and choose to spend our money on family trips and small weekend adventures. It’s been fun creating lasting memories with our children who still talk about the adventures years later. Sometimes I have a hard time getting photos off the camera and displaying them though. Since kids love seeing photos of themselves I thought it would be fun for them to create a way to display them. These Rock Photo Holders are fun and easy for the kids to make and then pick their favorite photos to display on them.

Sweet Pickled Radishes

by leanneja on July 21, 2016 · 1 comment

Canning always takes me back to thoughts of my childhood. It starts with picking strawberries, beans or other produce from the garden and continues in the kitchen with my mom canning our harvest. They’re such sweet memories. There’s something about canning and preserving your own food that makes it taste better, actually it does taste better because it’s fresh. I received the new Ball Book of Canning and Preserving and just had to try canning the Sweet Pickled Radishes. They taste even better than I though they would.

Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip

I live in the desert so it can be torture to be outside in the heat of the day, but the evening hours are wonderful. It’s so pleasant enjoying a meal outside on the covered patio. I like to keep dinners fresh and light on hot days and this Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip with vegetables makes the perfect appetizer.

Curtains are a great way to add color, texture and design to a room. They can also make a window seem larger and the ceiling feel taller depending on where they are placed. I’ve been hunting for new curtains for 10 months, with no luck. My living room window is small and not centered on the wall, I wanted to add curtains to make the window feel larger and seem centered. I can’t believe what a huge difference it made. Table Cloth Curtains were an inexpensive and easy answer to my problem.

My kids have a thing for decorative duck tape. They love the different styles and colors and are always trying to think of new ways to use it. Zach decided he wanted to make a Duck Tape Tablet Case using the black and white mustache duck tape.

I saw some really cute twist ties at the craft store a while back. I thought they would be simple enough to make and it would be fun to customize them for gift giving and other craft projects. The DIY Twist Ties turned out great and I love the variety of styles and colors.
