Thank you for entering! The winner is Melanie Allen. Congratulations!

I am so excited about this awesome giveaway! I love everything about amusement parks, which is why we try to go to a couple parks as a family every year. I especially don’t want to miss Disneyland this year because it’s the 60th Anniversary, which means even more magic will be happening. I’m happy to have teamed up with Get Away Today and some fabulous bloggers to giveaway a Magical Vacation Package worth $1500!!

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and EDWARDS®, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #EdwardsPies http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

I don’t know about you but the last thing I want to do in the Summer is spend hours preparing meals in a hot kitchen. Our Summer days are pretty unstructured, but we try to stay active with swimming, hiking, biking and spending a lot of time exploring our city. I’m tired when we get home and I don’t want to spend a lot of time on meal prep, but since eating is a necessity I have to plan something. Menu planning for the week ahead and displaying it for the family to see has kept me in check and kept the “what’s for dinner” question at bay.

Decorative Flower Pots

by leanneja on July 11, 2015 · 3 comments

in Crafts, Gifts

There are parties, barbecues, picnics, and other events hosted this Summer by friends and family. Do you get stuck trying to decide on a gift for the hostess? I was reading this last week that one of the top 5 hostess gifts this Summer are flower pots. Purchasing already painted or decorated pots can be very expensive so why not create them yourself. I gathered a few of my favorite Decorative Flower Pots to give you inspiration for creating your own beautiful, unique gift. Of course, make sure to add a beautiful plant or flower to the pot.

Rainy Day Scavenger Hunt

by leanneja on July 9, 2015 · 0 comments

in Children, Printable

I have decided I really love scavenger hunts and I really like watching my kids look for things, it’s much better than watching them play video games or stare at the TV. I think about being outside in the Summer and don’t think much about inside activities, but with all the rain these last few days I’ve adjusted my thinking. I thought a Rainy Day Scavenger Hunt would be in order to take a little bit of time away from the TV.

Letting Go Of Clutter (Part 2)

by leanneja on July 8, 2015 · 2 comments

in Decluttering

We talked about how Letting Go Of Clutter is a process in Part 1. The time it takes to go through the process is different for every person. It won’t happen over night and there are some things that you might not ever be able to part with. What I would get rid of might not be what you get rid of but that’s okay because it’s up to the individual. There’s nothing wrong with owning things but sometimes we give to much meaning and value to them. By letting things go we are able to enjoy our time and other possessions more.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Faultless/Bon Ami Company    for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m one of those people who actually likes doing laundry. It’s one of my favorite chores. I’ve never had a large laundry room, in fact the one I have in our rental right now is the largest I’ve ever had and even though it’s small I’ve been able to fit everything in it that I need. I’m going to share with you my laundry room essentials and why they’re important to me to make my laundering experience the best it can be.

June Posts Round Up

by leanneja on July 2, 2015 · 0 comments

in Round-Up

Summer is suppose to be relaxing, sometimes I think it’s anything but relaxing. Fun yes, but relaxing no. I feel like we are always on the go trying to cram in as much fun as possible before the kids head back to school. I know you’re just as busy as I am so I rounded up my June posts all in one place. If you missed any last month you’ll find them here. And yes, I’ve slowed down a bit for Summer, but the projects are still coming.

in 4th of July, Printable

Printables are the quickest and easiest way I know to decorate for a holiday. Just print, slap in a frame and you’re good to go. It’s like instant art. Use one or use many to create a wall full of art. Need some last minute party decor? I’ve got you covered. I’ve gathered some of my favorite Patriotic Printables to share with you. I hope you’ll find a few you want to use.

4th of July Parade Bags

by leanneja on June 29, 2015 · 4 comments

in 4th of July, Crafts

We’re a parade lovin’ family. But as much as we love them there is also a lot of waiting. The kids always seem to get hungry and want to eat everything that passes by. We will have a total of nine kids at the parade this year and I don’t want to be handing out food the whole time. I decided making Parade Bags for each kid would be the best solution.

I wrote this post nearly 2 years ago for a Studio 5 segment but never published it. It was about the time we were moving and it somehow got lost in the shuffle. It was on the air but I can’t find the segment now, so I just have the post to share. I’m going to share it in 2 posts because I think dealing with clutter can be a little overwhelming for some people. Letting go of clutter is a process, which means the time frame is different for everyone. If you struggle with clutter I hope this post will help you be able to find the meaning behind it and be able to let it go.
