I struggled with getting my 4th of July decorations out this year. We had such a busy June that I never found the time to decorate the inside of the house, but I did find a little time to at least get the front porch decorated. This Patriotic Star Wreath was fast and easy to make and I love how it turned out.

I love succulents in my home, but for some reason if they’re in my bedroom I forget to take care of them. I have a little desk area where I spend a lot of the day on the computer and wanted something beautiful to look at without having to remember to take care of it. This Hanging Succulent Terrarium full of faux succulents is the answer to my dilemma.

My family loves fudge and they ask me to make it all the time, no matter the time of year. I was only making it around Christmas for some reason, but a few years ago I thought I would change the way it was made so it would fit in well with other holidays. That is how this Patriotic Fudge was born.

I love this time of year. I love decorating with red, white, and blue. I love feeling patriotic and surrounding myself with reminders of this wonderful country I live in. And another thing I really love is making projects using items I already have so I don’t have to spend any money. This Patriotic Star Art was free for me to make, but even if you don’t have all of the materials, it’s still very inexpensive.

Love Joy Peace Mantel

I was thinking I would share how I’ve had my mantel decorated for the last couple of months before I share my patriotic mantel. I like to change the mantel often but this Love Joy Peace Mantel felt so comfortable that I kept it longer than usual. These colors and words give me a sense of ease and comfort and I’ve enjoyed seeing them in this space. And the bonus is, since I shopped my house, I didn’t have to pay a penny to pull this look together.

I love decorating for the 4th of July especially if I’m having a party. Who am I kidding, I don’t have to have a party to make cute decorations, especially using the colors red, white, and blue. You only need a few inexpensive supplies for this patriotic 4th of July party decor.

Do you have a hard time finding craft projects that your boys want to make then play with? Well, look no further than a cub scout book. There are some great and super simple ideas your boys (and girls) will love. They’re fun to make and fun to play with. Even though my kids are getting older they still enjoy making a lot of the crafts and projects in the scout book. If you don’t have access to one I’m going to share the Cub Scout Catapult with you.

Summer is in full swing and it’s time to get the kids outside having fun. We love playing games as a family but it can get expensive buying a lot of games. I decided it would be fun to make our own DIY Outdoor Games so I headed to the store for the supplies. It was really easy finding everything I needed for a few fun games I knew the kids would enjoy. Heck, hubby and I loved playing them too.

I love Summer and decorating with the colors, red, white, and blue. Since I love warm weather Summer holidays have always been my favorite, especially Independence Day. These Glitter Firecrackers are perfect to make and display from Memorial day through Labor day. And you still have plenty of time to get them made before the 4th of July.
