Little changes here and there can make such a huge difference. I bought these lamp shades at Wal-Mart for only $15 each.

So much better, don’t you think?
Now I want to paint the lamps, but I can’t decide what color. Any suggestions? The walls are going gray.

I like those shades Leanne! I bought some hammered silver spray paint that I was going to try on a lamp. I am hoping it will make them pop a little and give an almost mirrored finish. I saw on one blog where they used mirror spray paint on a lamp — GORGEOUS!
LOVE those lamp shades! They really do change the whole look of the lamp. I’m such a bad- put it all together- decorator, I wouldn’t even hazard a guess at what color to use- I’m sure you’ll be spot on whatever you decide.

The shades look great! I’m not great at choosing colors so I’m not of much help. However, I love the color of your accent wall…..would you mind sharing the name??
Definitely better. I love finding great deals like that and spicing up a room.
I love your lamps, they are very similar to some candle sticks I’m in the process of making over.

Hi Leanne! Love the new shades! I can’t tell from pictures. Is your furniture espresso? Are the lamps oil rubbed bronze? That’s the color I’d leave them. lol Otherwise, I’d have to see how the room comes together. Exciting! Can’t wait to see more!
The new look is great! I love the old lamp shade as well- but I think it would work better on a shorter base or for a reading area or something- like a lady’s alcove
I love the idea of an accent color on either the bottom or the top and bottom- like a striped fabric ribbon glued to the outer rim that includes the gray of the new walls and another pop of color that works in the room like a calming grayish blue, green, or even bright purple.
Lamp shades are an easy way to change a room! Looks great.
Wow! What a difference changing those shades made. And you cannot beat the price.
Love the new shades! They really make a huge difference!
