I’m not a big spender on gift wrap.
Guess where I buy my wrapping paper? At the Dollar Store!
The plain brown paper is postal paper and can be found at many stores.
I love the thickness of it.
I wrap all my packages without any embellishments so I can add to them later when I have a few minutes.
I don’t have to hide away from the kids because they’re already wrapped.

This year, I went through my craft supplies and found all the green ribbons and miscellaneous other items I wanted to use.
I didn’t spend a penny on these things.
Look around your house, I think you’ll be surprised with what you can come up with.

The tags are from an office supply store.
I just added stamps and embellishments to jazz them up a bit.

I like trying to see how many different ideas I can come up with using just a few items.

The doilies are one of my favorite ideas I used this year.
I just made sure I didn’t add them to the boys packages.
They made sure I knew they didn’t want a doily on their present.

The yarn pom-pom was my kids favorite.
They all wanted one on their package.
I guess I’ll be making more pom-poms today.
I think it had been at least 30 years since I made one.
I forgot how fun and easy they were to make.

Just 5 more gifts to wrap and I’m finished.
What about you?
Does Santa wrap gifts at your house?
He doesn’t at mine. He’s too tired and gift-wrapped out!

Merry Christmas and happy wrapping!

Very pretty! Did the patterned brown paper come from the dollar store also? I like using the postal paper, too, but haven’t seen the patterned varieties.

Oh how absolutely precious! When we were growing up, no, Santa did not wrap our gifts either. It was always so fun to run out and see everything sitting there. I also use brown paper to wrap gifts! I find it so subtle yet elegant! For my step son I can make them fun and funky, but for my sister in law and parents in law they are more elegantly decorated! Thanks for sharing! I will have to use the pom pom too- so simple!

The patterned brown paper is from Dollar Tree.

I did a “nature” theme Christmas one year, with brown paper and hot-glued on little pine cones from the yard. Pretty, but it made for prickly painful opening, and really slowed things down. LOL!

Your wrap this year is gorgeous! I have 3 diff wraps this year so I can keep track under the tree of whose gifts are whose.

My mom always wrapped our presents in our own wrapping paper pattern so she never had to use tags and we didn’t know whose presents were whose under the tree, so shaking them didn’t make any difference (especially with six kids in the family). On Christmas morning my mom set up a scavenger hunt for each of us to find our first present and it had our special wrapping paper so we could gather our other gifts.
Santa wraps presents at our house….well, actually he wraps them at my husband’s office. ;) My husband buys the Santa gifts and brings them home Christmas Eve. We discuss what to get each kid and he picks it up since I have the kids with me most of the time I go to the store. (I send him with coupons if I can too.)

Those are beautiful! I had fun wrapping my presents this year too, I used all the fun feathers and material from my birthday party. :)

I think your packages look fantastic. I plan to do something more simplified once I use up all the wrapping paper that I’ve accumulated over the last couple of years.
