Fall-ish Mantel

It was time to take down the Summer mantel, but I’m not ready for skulls and spiders yet so I made a transition mantel. Mostly generic with a little bit of Fall. I left the window and wreath up for now.

I added a few white pumpkins to bring in some Fall. Then added some books to bring height to the pumpkin and to represent the start of school. You can see how I made the framed word art here.

And how I made the little display plate here.

I’m sure you recognize the candle holder and wire cloche from previous posts.

I think it’s perfect for now. Don’t worry, give me a couple weeks and I’ll have the Halloween decor out. This time of year I would be happy to change my mantel every week. What about you? How often do you like to change your mantel?

I always love your mantels… They make me wish I had a fireplace -or even a shelf that would work. But anyway, your look lovely. Love the fall feel 🙂

You’ve inspired me so much over the last few months to change out my mantle. I used to dress it for the seasons and had stopped, but I wanted a simpler more subtle mantle in between times. I took my cues from your mantle and it’s been so much better! Thanks! Gayle

I always LOVE seeing what you have. 🙂 It’s a treat. I just saw your link on Cheri’s Spotlight Yourself. This mantel is so peaceful and calming. I’m a big fan of white pumpkins too.

IM a fan of ‘fall-ish’… I cant change my mantle out nearly as often as I would like, so what you have done is perfect. Its fall, but long lasting.

    Have a great week.

Hi Leanne- I like the simplicity of what you’ve done to the mantel- the window layered with the wreath, the cloche filled with “punkins,” the candle holder topped w/the white pumpkin… All a nice transition into fall. 🙂

Love your mantel and such a great idea to make a pedestal to give your number 4 some height. Our favorite number is four so I have several 4’s also. Fun post. Thanks for sharing.
