I am happy to have partnered with Apartment Guide as an Official Apartment Guide Organizing Blogger. As an official blogger, I will be sharing ideas and articles for exploring your city, space and style.
I was asked to be a contributor on one of Apartment Guide’s Pinterest Boards. I adore Pinterest. I’ve collected many creative organizing ideas over the last few months (many I’ve been able to implement in my own home). Since there never seems to be enough space no matter how much square footage we have, I like searching for new ideas on how to store items and keep all my belongings organized.
I like multi-purposing and re-purposing items to organize my home. It’s fun to find new uses for things plus it’s inexpensive or sometimes even free. I also like stylish organizing that is decorative and organized at the same time.
Why not store files in a storage ottoman. You could also store blankets, games, craft supplies, extra bedding or we store Wii game supplies in ours. (source:undomesticatedconfessions.blogspot.com via Leanne on Pinterest)
This stacking storage unit would be easy to make with cake pans and candlesticks or tubing between pans. It would be perfect for holding small items in a craft room or bathroom. (source: creatingkeepsakesblog.com via Leanne on Pinterest)

This is so cool! Use the bottom of a push broom to hold art supplies. I think I’m going to do this. (source: Leanne via Pinterest)

It can be hard to find storage space for towels in a small area. I love this idea of using baskets. (source: imbusyprocratinating.blogspot.com via Leanne on Pinterest)
Why not use old and vintage items to organize things in your home. Vintage suitcases can be loaded with items and stacked in a corner or slid under a bed. (source: myhomeideas.com via Leanne on Pinterest)
I love this idea of using shower curtain hooks to organize your bags on a closet rod. Plus it looks pretty. (source: tart-house.blogspot.com via Leanne on Pinterest

Leanne, I see a lot of organizing posts and this is one of the best– so easy and useable, and lots of new ideas, too! Love the shower hooks for purses– I’m totally going to do that.
Great ideas! I love it!

Great ideas! Thank you!
Love the earings and spice rack idea! Easy and not expensive. Can not wait to try this weekend.
great ideas….will use the wine rack , brush , and , spice rack ideas as my projects for this weekend….thanks!
Love the spice holder idea…where do you find the mop holder(s)? Are they sold one at a time or can u buy them in rows like that??
Thanks
I love the mop holder idea to organize my spices. Can you tell me the specific store or a web address where you found those. They look like they fit perfectly inside a cabinet. Thank you!
Love these ideas. Solves two of the problems I have been contemplating.
I keep my earings in plastic ice trays in my middle dresser drawer. Very easy to find the ones I’m looking for.
Where did you find the mop holder? That idea will work great for me, but I don’t know where to find them. Thanks!
Love the spice rack idea. Where has anyone found the mop holder? I’m searching high and low for it.
Love the idea for the spice organizer using mop/broom organizers, but could you please tell me where you found those? I have never seen any made of plastic and shaped like those (although, admittedly, I have not searched too far and wide yet).
Here are the spice organizers. I guess you could store mops on it, but it is actually a spice rack organizer.

where oh where did you find the mop holder for the spices? I have looked and looked and can not find them anywhere?
Thank you in advance….oh I love your pinterest boards!
Will that mop holder hold nail polish bottles? If not, anyone have ideas on how to put them on the wall individually?
No, I think nail polish bottles would be too small. You could mount an magnetic board or strip to the wall then add a little magnet to each bottle and hang it on the board.
Leanne, love the broom holder for spices but have looked everywhere & can’t find that style. Any suggestions?
Pure Genius. I’m going to go buy mop hangers this weekend and reclaim my cabinet space!
I’m not sure who came up with the spice rack organizers being from mop organizers, but you really need to correct that. It is not a mop rack at all, and the picture is of “Consumer Solution’s Spice Rack Storage/Organizer”. http://www.sears.com/consumer-solutions-spice-rack-storage-organizer-organizes-12-spice-jars/p-SPM7403517802?pageInd=product&PRODUCT_TITLE_BRAND=consumer-solutions-spice-rack-storage-organizer-organizes-12-spice-jars¤tProductTitle=consumer-solutions-spice-rack-storage-organizer-organizes-12-spice-jars&prdNo=1&isSEOCanonURL=true&catgroupId=SPM7403517802&catalogId=12605&blockType=G1&storeId=10153&partNumber=SPM7403517802&blockNo=1&i_cntr=1348773521086
Love the mop holder for spices!
I’ve tried the spice holder thingee. Please…don’t do it. The ones I got were adhesive. After a few months the plastic pieces started snapping off, til I was left with nothing. Try to remove all that adhesive. I finally soaked a folded paper towel with Goo Gone & used press ‘n seal to hold it on the cabinet door overnight. Then the remaining adhesive came right off. Pain in the butt. Don’t waste your $$.
Thanks for the advice but I would use Command velcro strips anyway, that way you can take them down or move them if you need too.
It is a spice holder not a mop holder. The circumference of a mop handle is too small to clip into it. No wonder you can’t find a mop holder like this….yikes.
Where did you buy the mop holders? I have looked everywhere and cant find them.
After more research of the pin, they are a true spice holder found on Amazon. I research pins more thoroughly now.
I’m sorry, that information came for a pin on pinterest and was found in many different areas so I just repinned and posted it. Thank you for the correction. I research my pins from pinterest more thoroughly now.
