Early Autumn Mantel

I haven’t decorated much for Autumn yet, but I always seem to start with my mantel in decorating for any season.

I decided to go with colors that remind me of warm Autumn weather (since it’s still really warm here).

I love the touches of blue mixed in with the colors of changing leaves.

I didn’t have to buy anything to create this mantel. I usually don’t.

I believe in shopping my house, plus hubby says I have a store in the basement.

The blue glass bottle has been out since Spring. I just added some fall-ish dollar store flowers to it.

I love candlesticks. They’re perfect for displaying cute little pumpkins or adding height to anything else.

I love this leaf bowl and cute owl. Perfect for Autumn, don’t ya think?

I’ve had this wreath for years and years, but it’s still one of my favorites.

Simple leaves that remind me of my favorite season.

Have you decorated for Autumn yet? Do you love the cool evenings as much as I do?

I love this. I honestly REALLY don’t like Halloween decor at all…. BUT LOVE decorating for fall, so this is a nice little breath of fresh air in the midst of all the intense Halloween decor out there. It looks so light an elegant- almost like the same feel you get from spring decor but with the loveliness of autumn. You pulled it off so well! Thanks so much for sharing!

I really like the idea of “shopping at home”! I have accumulated so many things over the years and can see how I can put our things in different arrangements and use the items in different rooms to be the variants.
Thanks for sharing. I have a green bottle, which down here in South Texas, if it isn’t brown from the drought there is still a lot of green. It just ties in Fall with the warmer climate.

Simply beautiful! You have captured the essence of the season in the most simplistic and yet the most elegant manner. I’m obsessed with blue glass, so I love what you have done with the foliage 🙂 Great job!

I love everything you used. And the way you put it all together. You’re so right about the blue. Nice work. I found you at The Lettered Cottage.
