I can’t believe I’m just now sharing my Christmas Countdown with you. I know it’s a little late for this year but keep it in mind for next year. It’s super simple and inexpensive. I think you’ll love it.

You’ll need a soda crate or some other kind of divided box and the rest of these supplies to make the countdown.
-napkins and/or tissue paper
-toilet paper tubes
-baker’s twine or other string
-small tags

You’ll also need small toys or activities to fill the tubes. I just wrote the days leading up to Christmas on the small tags and some activities on the larger tags.

Insert the activity tag in the tube

or add the toys or both.

Then gather the napkin or tissue paper up and around the tube, tie it off with baker’s twine, slide the number tag on and tie a bow.

The napkins are the perfect size so I cut the tissue paper to the same size. I used napkins and tissue paper with the same color scheme as the rest of the Christmas decor for this year. Pick what colors fit your color scheme.

Then I placed them all in the crate in date order. The one’s with activities were planned out for certain dates convenient for our family. Oh so pretty and colorful!

Once we take a tube out for that day I hang an ornament from the space so it’s not empty. The kids love it, of course.

I love it Leanne! Where did you find that fun crate?

I got the crate years ago at a shop in Ogden. It was only $8.
