It was Sunday and everyone wanted dessert.
I didn’t want to be left out again so I altered one of my easiest recipes and made it gluten free.
I posted this recipe before, but here it is in it’s gluten free form.
You’ll need:
1 cup melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 cups gluten free all purpose baking flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill)
1/2 tsp Xanthan gum
1 tsp salt
1 bag chocolate chips
Mix ingredients together.
Then add chocolate chips.
Press in greased 9 x 13″ pan.
Bake 30-35 minutes in 350 degree oven.
Crunch bars are usually crunchy (hence the name)
But making them gluten free made them chewy.
My family actually liked them better this way and I got to eat dessert.
