Alternative to a Sign-in Book

My best friend’s daughter was getting married and she wanted an alternative to a traditional sign-in book. So we met together to come up with some ideas. Wordle to the rescue again. I put together some words that had to do with love and marriage.

And then added their names and date to the keepsake.

The bottom half of the sheet is for guests to sign. I made 2 of them because one wasn’t going to have enough space for everyone to sign. The mat is wide enough that it can be signed on also. The frames are Ribba from Ikea and they measure 20″ x 28″. The paper is similar to the paper posters are made of.

I secured them to the back of the mat with double sided tape. They were placed on the signing table one at a time at the reception. We had a mishap with one of the pieces of glass and it broke, so I need to replace that (oops)!

When the first one was full, it was placed back in the frame and displayed on an easel. I think they turned out so cute.

I also brought my cute dessert plates for the dessert bar. Jeanine bought all the yummy desserts to serve at the reception. And the lemonade fountain was so much fun.

We arranged the tables using white tablecloths and napkins the colors of her wedding. Aren’t those flowers gorgeous?

Her cake was beautiful too. Jeanine made all the flower arrangements. They were so gorgeous!

I love the draped ceiling and the baubles and jewels hanging from it.  And it hid all the ugly sports equipment.

It was a beautiful wedding. Congratulations Alisa and Justin!

That is such a great idea for a sign in!

This wedding looks awesome! I love it. And that’s such a unique alternative to a guest book, I think it’s great!

I’m a bit behind in posting comments, but I’ve been reading your blog regularly. It’s one of my favorites to read 🙂

How were you able to print out a Wordle creation in anything smaller than 8×10?
