Peek Through Last Week (March 7-13)

March 14th, 2010

Sunday- We made yummy fruit pizzas for the Young Women New Beginnings Program. The leaders cut up and added the fruit right before the program started and the Young Women made one of the pizzas during the program. The program was set up as a cooking show. They talked about different types of fruit and what they might represent in our own lives as they added the fruit to the cookie dough. The outside of the fruit might be rough and unattractive but we need to focus on the inner beauty, just like we need to focus on our own inner beauty.

Monday- My bed usually looks like this at different times throughout the day. It’s just easier to fold the clothes on my bed than to try to do it in my laundry closet. Plus, it makes me put them away or we can’t go to bed.

Tuesday- The kids love getting these little toys from vending machines. Ammon thinks they’re his special little treasures and hides them in different places throughout the house. I found this one in the toilet paper roll (maybe too much information). I’ve found them in cups, in the pantry, in my dresser drawers, under my bed covers and in coat pockets.

Wednesday- I had to fill new prescriptions today so I thought I’d take a picture of what I have to take daily. Left of the box is morning, right of the box is evening and the box is twice a week. It used to bother me taking all this medication, but I don’t mind as much anymore. I’m feeling so much better and all my levels are finally where they should be.

Thursday- Ammon is in the Chinese Immersion Program at school so they’re trying to help the other kids at school learn a little Chinese too. Right now they’re working on numbers. This is the board in the hall across from the lunchroom.

Friday- Hubby and I made our date night on Friday this week. Holly’s (my friend from high school) daughter had her wedding reception in Sandy. We stopped in, wished them much happiness, ate a lot of treats, then went out to dinner. I love having dessert first.

Saturday- Whitney and Ty, Chris, Emily and Parker came up from Cedar City this week because they’re on Spring Break from College. Whitney’s cousins, Nicole and Nikki, threw a baby shower for her. Yummy food, a fun game, great conversations and lots of great presents for the new baby.

Fun site. I’ve only been following your site for a little while, but its fun to see one originating in Utah. I recognize a lot of the places you describe. Can’t wait to go thrifting in Cedar City this summer while at the summer games.
