Clearance Finds

March 10th, 2010

I was able to get a little shopping in yesterday before the kids came home from school. My first stop was Pier 1. I was able to get a few items. This bird nest and eggs was on sale for $2.98. It’s 12″ from tip to tip. Not too bad. It will be great for Spring.

These candle holders were on clearance for $1.68 each. They’re 4″ high. I have great plans for these. I’m thinking candlesticks and frost spray paint.

Then I headed to Ross to see what great buys I could find there. Not too many this time, but I found some more candle holders. These were $1.98 each and are 5 1/2″ tall. They might even be pretty upside down as a cloche. I’m sure I’ll think of something.

More candle holders from Ross. The one on the left is 6″ tall. It has an interesting texture to it and was $2.39. Do you recognize the one on the right? It was $1.49 and I already have 2 of them.

Does this look familiar? Now I just need to find another candle stick to paint black.

I had about 10 minutes left so I made a quick stop at Savers and snatched up these little saucers, 4 for .99 cents. I love the pattern.

Sorry, this is hard to read. They’re Johann Haviland, Bavaria, Germany.

Not bad and I only spent $16.85. I love clearance shelves!

And Happy Birthday to Benjamin, my 5 years old grandson. It was so fun to visit with you and your brothers. Thanks for letting me play games with you. I can’t believe you always won. I hope you have a wonderful birthday with lots of fun.
