Do You Do Vinyl?

January 25th, 2010

Do you like to use vinyl in your home? When is it too much? I like to use it seasonally and for holidays and since I have a Cricut it makes it so easy to cut out a few images whenever I have a vinyl whim. I try not to use it too much, but I admit it’s easy to get carried away. So, for Valentine’s Day I decided to add vinyl to some everyday items to get them in the holiday spirit.

The candles went from this:

SS850618

To this:

SS850676

And this:

SS850682

The little front window by the stairs got this:

SS850706

The old window in the living room went from this:

SS859950

To this:

SS850709

And the mirror above the mantel got this:

SS850680

The great thing about it is, I can just peel them off after the holiday and start fresh again. And because I tend to decorate for every holiday that’s a huge savings from having to buy new accessories for every one of them. So, what do you think? Yes or No to vinyl?

  18. 12IvyLane on January 25, 2010 2:42 pm

I love the vinyl too. I am going to put some under my new mantel shelf with the kids new pics but I’m debating what is cheaper, buying it and cutting it or buying an already made one from hobby lobby. Michaels has it here too but I just cant find anything other than black, white and clear and its 10 bucks for the small sheet. Have to keep looking I guess. I like the V-Day decor, use it where you will, It only becomes too much when its on every surface! :)

  19. Steffany on January 25, 2010 3:15 pm

I love the vinyl, and I have had to hold myself back, too…something about being able to cut it myself.

The headbands are fun, I love the chocolate with raspberry.

  20. Eos Mom on January 25, 2010 3:37 pm

  22. Bailie Johnson on January 25, 2010 5:00 pm

I love the black headband with turquoise flower!
