Thanksgiving With Our Graduate
Hubby and I spent Thanksgiving with Adam in Kentucky. Basic Training Graduation was yesterday. Because of the Holiday we got to spend an extra day with him. Tomorrow we fly home and Adam takes a 12 hour bus ride to Aberdeen, Maryland.
We can’t remember the last time we got to spend 2 whole days alone with him. What a great gift, before he heads off to more training and more independence. We just dropped him off and we already miss him. He’s one of the funnest guys you’ll ever meet, just ask his brothers and sisters.
Eating lunch at Steak n’ Shake. What a look:

This is a movie we saw (I highly recommend):
Another movie we saw (not for small kids, a little too scary):

He bought this:

And we shopped and shopped and ate at a lot of restaurants. Here’s some more pictures of Kentucky and my new Graduate.
These pictures make me miss Indiana:

Handsome guy, don’t you think?

This is what Hubby and I looked like after we dropped him off (so sad!):

Tomorrow we’re heading for home and celebrating Thanksgiving on Saturday. Yep, we’re celebrating Thanksgiving with the rest of the family on Saturday. We’ll have 11 for Thanksgiving dinner and then we’ll head over to the theatre to probably watch Planet 51.
I hope all of you celebrating Thanksgiving had a wonderful, fun filled family day. We’ll be getting a little of a late start decorating for Christmas, but it’s worth it. I have so much to be thankful for and I’ll share it all again with my family on Saturday.

Adam looks great! I’m not used to him with no hair!
He’s such a nice guy, he’ll do great!
That is so GOOD you were able to spend that time together. It looks like an enjoyable time. I have really been wanting to see that movie, the Blind Side too!
Mine graduated from basic and AIT a week ago – we went to Ft Benning to pick him up last weekend. They change so much, and yet so much doesn’t ever change… amazing, watching your children grow up, isn’t it?
That must have been so much fun. Good job Adam. i can’t wait to talk to him.
