Just Add Ribbon and a Giveaway

November 13th, 2009

I already had the ribbon out because of making ribbon flowers, so I thought I’d make some candles and bottles a little more festive. Who knew that adding ribbon and a few other embellishments could make a candle look so dramatic? Here’s what I did.

Before: Naked candles.

After: No more naked candles. Burlap ribbon, yellow ribbon and orange berries dress them up.

Close-up: They smell good too.

Burlap covered bottles with ribbons amd  buttons add the finishing touches.

Jared Barnes is a wonderfully talented artist and has made a 2010 calendar that he has generously offered as a gift to 2 of you. The calendar is titled “Impressions of Christ”. What a lovely gift this would make for yourself or someone else this holiday season. If you don’t win one, remember you can always purchase one from him at Jared Barnes Art. All you have to do for a chance to win is leave me a comment.  That’s it, so easy and you could have one of these beautiful calendars of your own. The winners will be chosen randomly on Saturday, November 14.

I bought a box of candles last month at an auction for $3 and had planned to put ribbon around them to dress them up for a gift. I like what you’ve done to yours. Very nice. :o ) Thanksgiving Blessings to you and yours!
