I’m just checking in to tell you I haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth.
I’m sick. Really sick.
I’ve been in bed for 2 days. Hubby’s been taking very good care of me.
You can still link up to We’re Organized Wednesday and enter the giveaway.
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.
Now, I’m going back to bed.
Filed under Uncategorized | Comments (7)No Time For Anything
I can’t believe I’m going to say this. I’ve had no time to do anything to blog about this week. No time for decorating, organizing, crafting or cooking (not that I ever do much cooking). I just returned home from Cedar City helping my daughter and son-in-law with their new little Maddux. He’s such a cute baby and so good.
And spending time playing with my son and daughter-in-laws big boy Parker. He’s about to be a big brother and he’s so entertaining.
Now I’m home and have to finish this week’s Teacher Appreciation activities at the Junior High (2 more to go), had 2 doctor’s appointments today, and still need to plan for Young Women. Then I have one to take to T-ball, one to Scouts and 2 girls plus myself to Young Women tonight. And I still need to unpack! There will be pizza for dinner and no crafting or organizing for at least one more day. I enjoy being busy, but not overwhelmed. I need 10 more hours today. Hopefully I’ll have something worth posting tomorrow. I’ll at least have some great buys from Cedar City I’ll be able to post about.
The next We’re Organized Wednesday will be May 12. You still have a whole week to get organized and link to the party. There will also be another giveaway. It’s inspiring to see all the organization that’s been going on the last few weeks, so keep it up and keep inspiring others.
If you’d like to sponsor a giveaway for any upcoming We’re Organized Wednesday just shoot me an e-mail at leanneja(at)organizeyourstuffnow(dot)com.

I met my house almost 6 years ago. We had owned a home in the next town over for 10 years. Then hubby lost his job and it took months to find a new one. We were struggling financially and were having a hard time paying all the bills. We made a decision to sell our home and move into a rental in the same neighborhood. It could have been one of the hardest moves ever, but because we stayed in the same neighborhood our kids were still going to the same schools and playing with their same friends and we were able to keep our friendships in the neighborhood too. It was a blessing for us at the time. The house was owned by a friend who had moved out. It was a lovely home and she had taken excellent care of it. We did the same by having our yard service still come to this home and by planting a garden and flowers. It worked well for us for 18 months, but it wasn’t ours and we were ready for something of our own again.
We started looking around and found a style of home in surrounding areas we really liked. All the ones we looked at were just out of our price range though and we were getting discouraged. We had actually driven by our home many times and looked at both the houses to the left of it, but they were too small for the seven kids we still had at home. Our home never had a “For Sale” sign in the yard, so we had no idea it was available. A few weeks later hubby saw our home on a website and called on it. We went to look at it and knew it was perfect for our family. It just felt right, plus it had the doors I’d been wanting for 3 years.
We started moving into our home August 1, 2004. It’s been perfect for us, not too far from old friends, wonderful new friends, the same Junior High, closer to hubby’s work (only 2 1/2 miles away), and great neighbors. I hope to grow old in this house. That’s why the master bedroom is on the main level.
How did you meet your house? Go over to Our Suburban Cottage and check out other house stories, then add your own to the party.
By the way, all you warm weather friends, it snowed this morning at my house. Jealous? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

This is what it looks like in my front yard today. At least the sun’s trying to come out. I’m glad we’re heading South this afternoon. We’re expecting a big storm here tonight with 3-6 inches of snow. And yea! We’ll be long gone by then.

Hubby brought these home to me today. He’s just too sweet!

I’ll have a post later tonight, once we arrive in Cedar City.
Are you staying home or heading out this weekend?

I finally gave up! I have been trying not to get sick for 4 days now. It finally got the best of me and I collasped here last night at 9:00 pm.

I never go to bed before midnight. I don’t think hubby knew what to do with me going to bed so early. I’m still not feeling great, so I’m going to rest some more this morning. Hopefully I’ll have a post for later today.
I hope you all have a nice day and fight off any sickness coming your way.
