The Witches at Gardner Village

Yesterday started out as a pretty stressful day. The computer/internet wasn’t working for about 3 hours, I didn’t get to go to the gym and my van wouldn’t start. So after Hubby came to the rescue by fixing the computer and the car, the kids and I were off to Gardner Village. My elementary kids are still off -track, this is the beginning of week three and we had to get out of the house. Gardner Village was an old mill owned by Archibald Gardner and now it’s a store, restaurant, specialty shops, petting zoo and spa. In October they bring out the witches and the whole village is decorated. As you can tell, it was a little windy and Ammon’s face was cold. The witch was cold too. She’s wrapped in a quilt and sitting in a barrel.

Witches playing baseball.

She’s a nice witch sitting by the spa. I don’t think Ammon liked her.

I guess she scared Ammon.

Here’s the mill. Apparently the witch didn’t see it.

Here’s one of the old buildings that’s now a shop.

We were getting cold at this point so we found an eatery with hot cocoa. It warmed our bodies and hands and then we headed over to the petting zoo.

Okay, they’re not part of the zoo, but they’re cute.

Before we left we went to the candy store and bought fresh fudge (chocolate, mint chocolate, butterfinger and pumpkin pie) and I found some cute pacifier (sweet-tart) candy for the baby shower. The day turned out pretty good after all.
