Spring Mantel

I finally had the time today to change my mantel to Spring and it snows.
Oh well, at least it’s green and flowering inside.

So as to my usual form, I tried to decorate with things I already had around the house.
The chalkboard was a birthday gift from my oldest a few years ago. I love it!
I have a stash of white pitchers and the bunny topiary came from Pier 1 last year.

The white frame is from my frame stash and I can’t decorate for Spring without including a bird nest.
Go here if you want to read about my real bird nest woes.

I’ve had the gate for years. I believe I purchased it at a garden shop.
The green bottle is one of the bottles I painted for St. Patrick’s Day.

The banner was my only purchase this year. I bought it at Tai Pan Trading.
I wanted something other than a wreath on the shutters this time.

I’m ready for Spring! Bring on the sunshine and warm weather.

It is so perfect! I love everything about it…just close your blinds and pretend it’s not snowing! Happy 1st day of Spring!

In love with the little nest and the bunting. Props for using what you have. I know budgets/husbands love this skill, at least in my house they do.

Thanks for leaving the comment too. I’m just so happy we made that connection. Now you need to find a picture of your Junior Prom for me 🙂

I love it! My favorite are the wire pieces, so unique. Were those something you re-purposed from something else?

Love how you styled your mantel. The shutters provide a great backdrop. I like how you used so many different elements and textures.
I’m a new follower and hope you’ll stop by, Mary Alice
