I love the holiday season, the special meanings behind this time of year, and the fun celebrations. One of my favorite times of the season is when my kids make their wish lists. I love seeing their final lists of what they most desire, but the best part is making their wishes come true. The sad truth is that the holiday season is not full of magic for everyone and it can be a stressful time of year. UPS delivers many wishes in the form of packages throughout the holiday season but they want to do more this season and you can help by sharing your wish. #wishesdelivered
I am so excited to share this wonderful program with you. It’s what this season is all about. UPS wants you to share holiday wishes by making a heart-felt wish for someone else. I get goose bumps just thinking about what you can wish for to brighten someone’s life. For every wish submitted with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, or Toys for Tots) up to $100,000. By submitting your wish you will also be doing your part by raising money for charity. It’s a win-win situation.
Submit your wish on Twitter or Instagram by posting your wish with the hashtag #WishesDelivered between November 10 – December 31, 2014 and it will automatically be submitted. If you don’t use either of those social media channels you can go to the UPS wish site (ups.com/wishes) and manually submit it there. The more wishes that are submitted, the more UPS will donate so don’t forget to spread the word on other social media to raise as much money for charity and fill as many wishes as possible.
So, What’s your wish? Think of someone who could use some good news, needs to be uplifted because of their circumstances, or needs to know someone cares about them. Do you want to help a family in need or books be delivered to children in your area? Do you know someone who is fighting a hard battle right now and could use something to brighten their day? Share a link to your wish in the comments below and I will help you spread the word on my Instagram and Twitter accounts.
