Peek Through Last Week (May 9-15)

Sunday- Mother’s Day. It was a beautiful day. I attended church, ate yummy food and dessert, received wonderful presents and phone calls from all the married kids. I was even able to take a little nap. My family always tries hard to pamper me on Mother’s Day and they always make my day special.

Monday- It’s raining again today and it’s suppose to rain for the next 3 days. I really don’t mind the rain, especially if it’s a warm Spring rain and not a cold Winter rain. At least it’s not snowing, but we’re never safe until after May 15th. Then I’ll be able to plant all the flowers I got for Mother’s Day.

Tuesday- This is the gym I normally go too. There’s also one in Roy that I sometimes go to, but it’s usually crowded so this one is easier to get on the treadmill. I don’t usually take the classes. I run on the treadmill and lift weights on the machines and free weights. Now that it’s getting warmer I’ll start running outside 3-4 days a week and only go to the gym 1-2 times a week. I take a Zumba class sometimes on Fridays.

Wednesday- Zach and Ammon hardly ever play with the dominos anymore. Every once in a while they’ll get them down and make some creation. They built this one to play with the Rescue Hero figures. I think it was their rescue training building.

Thursday- Ammon’s sick again. I think he has the worst immune system, next to me. Amanda had gotten sick earlier in the week and passed it on to Ammon. She was only sick for 24 hours, he was sick 3 times longer. I’m getting a little queezy after cleaning up after him. Cross your fingers I don’t get it too.

Friday- Hubby and the kids haven’t seen baby Maddux yet, so we decided to take a weekend trip to Cedar City for a quick visit. We were hoping baby Ella would arrive while we were there too, but no such luck. Oh well, that means we’ll have to make another trip. It’s about a 4 1/2 hour drive, but the kids do really well. They watch movies, play games, sleep, eat, read and sometimes do homework.

Saturday- They have this awesome park in Cedar City for younger kids called Park Discovery. We spent a few hours there in the afternoon. The guys went golfing in the morning. We ran a few errands in the morning, ate lunch, then went to the park. The kids had a great time. The adults sat in the shade and relaxed for a while while the kids ran around and got all their energy out. Yea for warm weather! Of course, we had to go to Chili’s for dinner. Hubby’s favorite restaurant. We also went to the Tiki Shack on Main Street for gourmet shaved ice. I’m addicted to the “Ice Cap”. They add sweetened condensed milk to the top of any flavor of shaved ice. I wonder how many calories that added.

I might get some decorating, crafts and organizing done if I ever stay home. Oh well, we’re having too much fun visiting with family.

What a busy week! I’d rather spend time with my family than in the craft room anyday 😉 Although the craft room is a GREAT place to be when you’ve had your fill of family for a little while.

I have given you the You’re Great award! Please stop by my page to receive it.
