More Spring Decor

I’m adding more Spring decor to my home and trying to spend very little money. Does anyone else move things around almost everyday? I like to live with things where they are for a few days and then change them around if they don’t feel right. This is how the table looked a few days ago.

And here it is now. I like the height and pop of color the flowers add to this area. The pitcher was in the kitchen and the flowers were in the vases on the wall.

By changing the table, I was able to add a bunny next to the jar full of eggs that are on the kitchen island. Making it much cuter and tying it all together.

Remember the mantel? I love it, but it needed something to help tie the window into the whole scene and bring it down a little.

How about a wreath?

I like it much better. It adds a hint of color, but not too much for the look I was going for.

I cut these branches off one of my trees in January. There’s been snowflakes and hearts hanging from them. Now there’s eggs.

I moved it upstairs too. Hubby didn’t love it on the dining table.

I moved the green vase and bird from the mantel and placed it next to the cheese boxes. Then I filled the cheese boxes with colored eggs I had stored away. (Yes, the roosters are going soon. I just don’t know what I want to do as a back splash yet.)

I added daisies to the other side of the sink and a few chicks from the Easter tote.

I’ve liked not having curtains on my kitchen window, until Hubby brought the RVs home. Now I’m going to have to come up with some kind of covering, because I don’t love the view anymore. I gathered colored bottles from around the house and stuck them all on the window sill together. The colors help it look Springy, but don’t hide the RV well.

I added a simple wreath to the front door, but might add butterflies or more flowers later. I love the bright color.

And the end of my hall always looks like Spring. It makes me happy every time I look at it.

The cost for all this decorating? $0. Just move things around your home and try them in new places. Live with them for a few days and if you don’t like it, move them somewhere else. Taking pictures of the area is another great way to see if you like the look. It’s like you’re looking at it from a new perspective, with new eyes. I’ll also set something up, walk out of the room and walk back in a few minutes later to see if it appeals to me.

Try decorating your home with things you already own. They could be seasonal and in totes or taken from another room of your house. Maybe this season you won’t have to spend any money or very little on decorating. Now wouldn’t that be nice!

Love your spring decor! I have to ask about the pretty hydrangea/paper wreath above. It is so beautiful, did you make it?

Very pretty spring decor. I especially like the wreath on the mantel. The colours are perfect.

$0 is always good! I especially love the hydrangea wreath – I miss having those in our new yard.

Hope you’ll drop by AtticMag to give JaneT some advice on making a bench from a vintage bed. #81 on Met Monday.
