We can all use extra storage space, no matter how large or small of a space we live in.
Using furniture pieces that can also be used for storage is a perfect solution.
Let’s talk about ideas for the living room today.
Store extra blankets in a storage cube that can also double as an end table.
An ottoman can be used in the same way as a coffee table.
I use a tray on top of mine so there’s a flat surface for things and items can be moved easily.
Plus it has extra storage for items used in your space.
In our case it’s Wii paraphernalia.
I also added a storage cube for the smaller items and controls.
Use pieces in unusual ways.
I’ve stored everything from CD’s to clothing in this chest depending on what room it was in.
Even small spaces can be used to store items.
A sofa table can hold stationary supplies or tea lights in my case.
A small drawer in an end table can hold coasters.
Look at the things you use in a certain area and find a way to store them close by.
When picking out a new piece of furniture think of how that piece can be used in multiple ways to beautify your space and maximize your storage.
