Cheapo Bathroom Wall Art

I’m working on redoing the upstairs bathroom (the girl’s bathroom). The boys would rather walk all the way downstairs than use it, because of all the hair products and makeup everywhere. So instead of trying to make it gender neutral I decided to go girly. The color scheme will be green and purple. The 1st thing I started on was the wall art for the bathroom.

I bought the frames at the dollar store and then got out my handy dandy cheapo white spray paint and went to town. Here’s the before:

SS852476

I then had to buy more scrapbook paper in the colors of choice and add them to the frames. Here’s the after:

SS852900

Cheapo wall art for $7. Sorry about the lighting in the unfinished basement, it’s really bad. I think these will look great on the wall once I get in gear and get it painted.

Ok, that’s the kind of budget I’m working with here! Perfect and I can totally pull that off. My bathroom has had bare walls for a couple of years now and I wasn’t sure what direction to go. You’ve inspired me! Off to the Dollar Store… and Hob Lob… one girl can never have too much scrapbooking paper 🙂

Wow! They turned out great! I did some scrapbook paper “art” in my master bedroom. It looks fabulous and it doesn’t cost a fortune! Love it!

ok, can I just say I LOVE this project! Since I paint, I always put off doing projects around my own house, thinking I need to do actual ‘work’ work. This project I can do! I love it. And I have a ton of scrapbook paper I’ve been saving – for that rainy day, you know.
    Thanks for sharing!
